We’ve been really busy this fall. I’ve spent what seems to be almost every available moment for the past few weeks building a new web site. We have a sister site, Coastal Decorations. I’m learning a new program to build web sites and I plan to revamp Bay Treasures either later this fall or early next year.
We’ve also added some new products. We’re now carrying a few coastal/beach/tropical bath sets. We offer these at really great prices. They’re great gifts, but be sure to order by Thanksgiving to ensure they will arrive by Christmas.
We also added a beautiful Palm Tree table lamp.. You need to order soon because we only have a few in stock.
So, If you haven’t been by the web site in a couple of days, spend a couple of minutes and see all that’s new.

Why a Crab Lamp?
A few years ago, my wife and I were at a trade show and saw these really cool accent lamps. They were mostly animal lamps like dogs, birds, butterflies, turtles, and more. Some were really big. They had two lamps that were just over three feet tall! But the lamp that caught my eye was a beautiful crab lamp. It is just so cool. And isn’t that the whole point to decorating? I’ve must have read close to 100 articles on decorating the past two years. I’ve learned a lot about how to be tasteful, coordinated, and most of all to be careful to keep the room in balance. I’m a guy. I like a room to look cool. I’m not too concerned about “balance” or being coordinated. I just want the stuff in the room to look good together and state my personality. And this is why “I love me some Crab Lamp!” They’re just cool. Crab Lamps not only look good, they’re also useful. Besides being a conversation piece, they’re great as nightlights. But, you must be careful that ex boyfriends and girlfriends don’t take your Crab Lamp with them when they finally leave!
Crab Lamps aren’t for everyone. Some people are mermaid people, or perhaps would like a Dog Lamp better. Whatever your taste, pick something that you think is really cool. After all, isn’t this the point of decorating?

Nothing on the store today. Just wanted to pay respects to those who Served their Country and never made home. Freedom isn’t cheap and is always paid for by the blood of those who placed it above their own life.

Great News! We ordered new pirate goblets with a picture of a ship on one side and a Pirate on the other. We have another goblet with flames and a skull and cross bones more suited for over the top Pirate Parties! Its chocked full of “ARGH!”
While the goblets are great for pirates, they’re not really the best gift you can buy Mom. We have a great selection of gifts and home decor items that Moms really love. For Mom’s that love the sea, think about a beautiful accent lamp or a framed printed. Maybe your Mom would like a beautiful metal wall photo collage holder. We offer several styles. Whatever you choose, you know your Mom will be especially pleased this Mother’s Day. But you have to order now to make sure she gets it in time.

Finally, all the paperwork for taxes is done for another year. The temperature has finally started to rise just a bit. The grass is turning green, the trees are starting to grow new leaves, the flowers are growing and so are my potatoes.
We’ve had an interesting two weeks. The one company we have an agreement to ship directly from their warehouse decided to change their shipping software last week. It was a very painful experience for all involved. We had a few orders that were caught up in the mess, but really only one that was critical (because of the small time frame for the order to arrive). To make things just a bit worse, I was not able because of other commitments to be as responsive as I probably needed to be. In the grand scheme of things, I don’t think it really would have mattered. It’s sorta like being stuck in traffic. You can either relax and just wait for the gridlock to break, or you can attempt ever alternate route you know. You’ll probably get to your destination about the same time no matter what you do; however, if you take the alternate routes, at least you have some (false) measure of control. “I’m making progress because I’m moving.” You stay in business long enough, you’ll have situations like this happen. I don’t like them, but not much I can do about it. I suppose, I could stop offering to sell from this vendor, but then I’m not able to offer great quality products well below retail prices. For example, I list a metal wall art picture holder (holds 12 pictures) for the suggested retail price of $199.99 (I’ve seen it as high as $219.99). I’ve placed it on sale for $159.99 ($40 off the retail price). At $159.99, I’ve sold about a dozen. So collectively, I’ve saved my customers $480. Not too bad.

Finally the weather is starting to feel like Spring. We’ve been pretty busy finding some incredible deals. We’re adding a bunch of new products every week and I’m comparing our prices on every one we add. We’re either the lowest priced or very close to the lowest price on almost every item we added in the past 2 months. Our goal is the make sure there isn’t a better way to save time and money than shopping at home for Home Decor and Gifts.
We’ve added more online Coupons so our customers can save even more, from Free Shipping on orders over $100 or 10% off each and every order. The Coupon for Free Shipping on all orders of $100 and more…Coupon Code: BAYSP
Or take 10% Off every order until the end of April. Coupone Code: BAY10
Use the coupons during checkout. Personally, I think the 10% off is the better deal.
Not valid with other coupons… one coupon only, per order.
The past couple of weeks we’ve added some spectacular Home and Outdoor Decor,
From Wall Art to Decortive Wall Clocks and Accent Furniture. Most items are priced 20% or more below Retail! We’ve also added a great selection of Nautically themed accent pieces from C2C Designs. All at spectacularly low prices. We also have a great selection of gifts, from our World Famous Crab Lamps to Pirate Ships.
If it’s been more than a week since you last visited Bay Treasures, take a minute or two and see what’s new.

We’ve been adding new Home Decor products this month, and I’ve been comparing prices for the items as we add them. I’m really happy we’ve been able to keep our prices below almost all of our online competitors. Some of the new items we added include new Gingko Design Wall Art for only $84.99.
Have you ever tried to write while your sick. It’s tough. I’ve been “under the weather” for the past few days and it’s kicking my butt.
I still have over 100 new items to add to the web site. So much to do, so little time.
I’m going to take drugs now and try and get some sleep.
’til next time.
